About the tournament

All Stars Cup 2012 is the 4th annual prestigious international tournament for players born in 1998. This year, the tournament will be played in the U14 category. The All Stars Team agency will be organizing the tournament from 15. 6. 2012 to 17.6. 2012 in cooperation with City Quarter Prague 10 and SK Slavia Praha, and it will be played on the premises of the Slavia Praha football club. The tournament will once again be staged under the auspices of the mayor of Prague 10 and the Football Association of Czech Republic, and its patrons include former and current Slavia players such as Czech football legend Vladimír Šmicer and promising A team goalkeeper Martin Berkovec.

Our goal is to make All Stars Cup a mark of quality and that it continues to evolve and become more professional in all respects. We are continuing to do the things that work and we are adding those things that we believe will bring a change for the better. The tournament is therefore under preparation virtually all year and is contributed to by the ever-growing staff of people involved in it.

In terms of sports, the basic scheme of the tournament is the same – it will be played over the course of three days with the participation of sixteen teams. The first two days will be in groups, and the third day will be play-offs. This is the fairest system possible, and every game is important. All teams, regardless of the results, will play nine games, which is a considerable portion of 270 minutes.

This year brings to Prague nine clubs that haven´t played in the tournament before. Some of them are well known names in youth football - Everton FC, Hertha BSC Berlin, also Fenerbahce SK or SSC Napoli. We will also be welcoming newcomers from the Czech Republic, namely Dynamo České Budějovice, FC Viktoria Plzeň and 1. FK Příbram. We are pleased that these teams truly want to participate in the tournament, and we also know that these clubs work with youth players on a very high level in view of domestic possibilities. We will see how they will fare against Europe.

In terms of the organization of the tournament, another improvement in quality should be the enhanced technical equipment (sound system, large information screen) on the premises, as well as expanded catering services for the participating teams and spectators. In comparison with previous years we have also strengthened marketing: the tournament has its own website with a new section for work with the media, and we also negotiate about online broadcasts of selected games.

June is the month of the All Stars Cup. We look forward to the tournament and to meeting you in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic!
